![]() I recommend it and would go back again! And please note, my photos aren’t great, and don’t represent the food well, but it was delivery to my office. Their yoyos (sweet plantain sandwich) and pepitos (traditional Venezuelan sandwich) also look tasty. Please know I did not eat all of these things in a single sitting! This restaurant had a large menu of authentic Venezuelan street food, and even my palate, which has become used to flour, liked their maize dishes. I also ordered pineapple and passion fruit juice, both of which were very fresh and refreshing! I liked them both, but liked the passion fruit better. It was also very good, savory, with good contrast between the cheese and the salty cool ham. I also got the cachapa (sweet corn pancake) -ham and cheese, which is a Venezuelan dish made with maize flour and other ingredients. The hot sauce added wasn’t spicy, but added flavor. I don’t like tomatoes that aren’t fresh garden tomatoes because they don’t have taste, but whatever their source, these tomatoes were juicy and added freshness to the meat and corn patties. It also came with sauces, lettuce, and a tomato. Based on the guests opinions, waiters offer great fruit juice or delicious lemonade. Thats a nice idea to order tasty pancakes, tostones and petit fours. You will like its food, especially good ropa vieja, pork roast and pies. I ordered the shredded chicken arepa (traditional cornmeal cake), which was also tender and juicy with good flavors. If you have never tried Venezuelan cuisine, you should reserve a table at this restaurant. ![]() The restaurant mistakenly sent me a cheese empanada instead of chicken, and it was a little too heavy for me (fried corn and cheese? Can’t do it). greasier than other types of empanadas I’ve had in the past. These empanadas were made with fried corn dough, so they were a little. The beef was very well seasoned and flavorful. I ordered two empanadas, beef and chicken. The delivery was delayed, but the food was very good. If you like sweets get a slice of the tres leches cake. The food quality more than makes up for the minor inconveniences I mentioned above. This does not happen because you are a gringo, it happens because hungry people are waiting behind you. If you hesitate the cashier will skip you and move on to the person behind you. ![]() If you are getting food there make sure you know exactly what you want before getting to the counter. Just make sure that if you are writing specific nots for your order to write them in spanish or they will go unnoticed. If you don't speak spanish and want delivery you'll have to use seamless. This place does a large amount of take out & delivery and more often than not there are no employees that speak english. Yes, this is heavy food, but it is fresh and far better for you than any of the standard American fast food joints.Īs others have mentioned the service can be spotty if you don't speak Spanish. pork is so juicy and flavorful you don't really need. Ask for the sauce (a mixture of ketchup & mayo) on the side. The Pernil arepa is my personal favorite.
